Claudia De la Cruz is a prominent activist and co-founder of The People’s Forum (TPF). In early 2024, she served as the U.S. presidential candidate for the Party of Socialism and Liberation (PSL). De la Cruz is a vocal supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement and has participated in numerous rallies in solidarity with US designated terrorist organizations Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis.

Glorifying Hamas Terrorism
On October 7, 2023, following Hamas’ terrorist attacks on Israel, De la Cruz posted on Instagram celebrating “resistance” and showing solidarity with Hamas. She further participated in pro-Hamas rallies, where she defended violent resistance, equating it to self-defense against Israeli “colonial rule.”

Support for Terrorists
De la Cruz has praised individuals connected to terrorist activities, such as Leila Khaled, a member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). She has also called for the release of other PFLP operatives and has glorified figures like Ghassan Kanafani, who was linked to the Lod Airport Massacre.

Promoting Incitement
At various rallies, including one at Columbia University, De la Cruz called for “fighters” and praised the student-led “Gaza Solidarity Encampment” as a training ground for revolutionary resistance. She further encouraged youth to embrace the “intifada” and called on the destruction of oppressive systems.

Hatred of America
De la Cruz has made multiple inflammatory statements against the United States. In her speeches and social media posts, she frequently refers to Israel as a genocidal, colonial project and criticizes U.S. support for Israel.

Current Status
As of June 2024, De la Cruz has continued her activism through The People’s Forum and PSL, where she advocates for ending U.S. aid to Israel and promotes BDS efforts. She holds a master’s degree in social work from Columbia University and a master’s in divinity from Union Theological Seminary.
